Helping people in LGBTIQA+ communities to quit
Did you know: Smoking rates in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and asexual (LGBTIQA+) communities are about double the national average? Quit is a culturally safe space, here to empower people in the LGBTIQA+ community who smoke to quit. Quitline counsellors can also support you to quit vaping, or support you if you're using vapes to quit smoking.
Find your why: your quitting journey is as unique as you
Congratulations on taking on a step towards quitting. Your quitting journey is as unique as you are, and quitting looks different for everyone.
When you quit, your physical health improves. But did you know physical wellbeing is just the beginning? Quitting will also:
Improves your mental health and reduces your stress levels.
Free up money to put towards your lifestyle goals like holidays and events, savings, a new car, dining out or other experiences.
Free up your time to do the things that are important to you.
Simply your life and take back control.
